Eugenia Richardson - Flourish Yoga Project instructor

I began taking Pilates when I experienced back pain after years of dance and teaching aerobics. Not only did my pain go away, but Pilates was magical for me! I began training with Jennifer Kries in New York City and continued my Pilates training with The Physical Mind Institute and Body Precision; where I received my complete Classical Pilates Certification (mat and apparatus) in 2005. I taught in Rochester for a few years and then followed my dream to teach in the Caribbean. I had my own studio in St. Martin for 6 years and worked with local clients as well as people from all over the world including Tyra Banks, Salma Hayek and Allegra Versace.

My passion for Pilates has led me to continue taking Pilates courses for osteoporosis, golf, barre, and rehab related course work. As a trainer I have worked with varied health conditions and injuries including back and neck pain, knee and hip replacement, breast cancer and stroke. Teaching Pilates is my way of giving back. Pilates has enriched my life in ways I never knew possible. I am happy to be back in Rochester teaching Pilates and helping to change people’s lives!

I earned a BA in Philosophy from Nazareth College of Rochester. After 25 years in Corporate America I decided to change careers and pursue my love of Pilates. I enjoy spending time with my two children and 4 grandchildren.
